my goals for the new year

Rather than chasing perfection, this year is about progress, presence, and purpose. I’m setting goals that support who I’m becoming, not who I think I should be. This blog will reflect that journey—honest, evolving, and rooted in growth. Below I will list goals that I believe are attainable for me in 2026. I want to challenge myself in new ways, try new things, and most importantly, be present. We all know how fast a year flies by, but this year, lets not take anything for granted!

try different workout studios

Trying new workout studios in Greenville has become my way of turning fitness into an experience. Each class offers something different—new energy, new instructors, new motivation—and I’m learning that movement doesn’t have to be routine to be consistent. my SIL and I tried a new reform pilates studio just before Christmas and got HOOKED! Suggestions are welcomed!

Creating a morning/ evening reset routine

A simple reset routine, whether in the morning or at night, creates space for balance. It’s less about rigid habits and more about gentle structure—checking in with myself, clearing my mind, and setting the tone for the hours ahead. I received a “Hatch Restore” alarm clock for Christmas and could not be more excited to use it. Quality rest is invaluable to me, and setting the tone for the morning/night is so important.

literally so cute!!

The perfect way to practice better sleep routines. I am obsessed with mine already!

Expressing gratitude more often

Expressing appreciation more often is a gentle reminder to slow down and notice the people and moments that make life feel fuller. This year, I want to say thank you out loud, more freely, and with intention—because gratitude deserves to be expressed, not just felt. I am beyond grateful for this life of mine. 2025 was the year I married my best friend, moved into a new place together we get to call home, traveled, and gained forever friendships. Above all though, I thank God for His hand in all of it.

Being more intentional with spending

This year, I’m focusing on spending with purpose. Less impulse buying, more thoughtful decisions, and a clearer understanding of what I actually need versus what simply catches my attention. My husband and I are saving for a house with no rush or deadline, but we want owning a home to be a reality for us. With that in mind, we have created a pretty strict budget that gives us freedom to set aside money for date nights/self care, but also be more intentional about where our money goes. I suggest using/downloading Every Dollar”. It is a great tool for budgeting and super user friendly!

Creating more than I consume

This year, I want to shift my focus from endless consumption to intentional creation. Creating more than I consume means trusting my ideas, sharing my voice, and allowing myself to take up space without overthinking. I also want to be more mindful of what I take in and more confident in what I put out. Creating more than I consume means choosing presence, originality, and trusting my own perspective.

*And making sure what I DO consume aligns with who I want to become + inspires me in some way.

consistent journaling

This year, I’m committing to disciplined journaling as a tool for clarity and growth. Each entry is a quiet check-in—a chance to reflect, reset, and align with my goals. There’s something quietly transformative about journaling. It’s the space where I can pour out my thoughts, untangle my feelings, and revisit the intentions I set for myself. Writing every day—or almost every day—teaches patience, self-compassion, and awareness. It’s a gentle way to notice patterns in my life, celebrate tiny wins, and release what no longer serves me. Each page becomes a mirror, reflecting who I am and guiding me toward who I want to be.
